NHA - Patient Care/EKG/Phlebotomy Technician (CPCT/CET/CPT) The Patient Care Technician prepares you to work in a hospital environment under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Students are trained to perform clinical skills such as blood collection, EKGs, catheterization, recording vital signs and patient treatments, and other tasks related to patient care. Patient Care Technician graduates can expect to find employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and placement agencies. When you take the NHA board exam, it will be three seperate tests: 1) Patient Care Technician; 2) EKG; and 3) Phlebotomy. You will receive a certificate for each one. Program Duration: 10 weeks or 6 months
NHA - Surgical Tech Certification As a surgical technologist, the student will be qualified by didactic and clinical training, to provide services in the operating room under the supervision and responsibility of the operating room supervisor, who is a registered nurse. Program Duration: 12 months
NHA or PTCB - Pharmacy Tech Certification Pharmacy Tech program will teach students how to perform a wide variety of tasks in both retail and hospital pharmacies under the supervision of a pharmacist. Students develop skills in all areas of pharmacy practice such as computer order entry, pharmaceutical calculations, record keeping, mixing intravenous solutions, and compounding of products to be dispensed. Special emphasis is on product knowledge and learning detailed information regarding drugs. Program Duration: 6 months
CCI - Certified Cardiographic Tech. (CCT) Cardiographic technician program will teach the student how to assist doctors in diagnosing illnesses by conducting heart examinations, such as stress tests and holter monitoring. Program Duration: 12 months
CCI - Certified Rhythm Analysis Tech (CRAT) Certified Rhythm Analysis tech program will teach the student to determine cardiac dysrhythmias, correlate electrophysiological, physiological and pathophysiological cardiac events with patient presentation and determine appropriate interventions based on rhythm interpretation and localization of cardiac infarction. Program Duration: 12 months
Diagnostic Medical Sonography(DMS) Program Duration: 18 or 24 months If you have no college degree, then you would have to take this course for two years and receive an associate degree in DMS.
